Criteria for Eligibility

The APSCVIR Executive Committee (EC) will bestow the Honorary Membership to persons who have rendered extraordinary service to the Society or to the discipline of Interventional Radiology, such as education, basic research, clinical investigations, and activities in academic organizations or related groups.

Nomination of Candidates

Accepted Answer

Honorary Membership nominee can be proposed by the individual members in APSCVIR. Up to Three (3) persons will be awarded at the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). Honorary Members who had accumulated remarkable achievements in the field, shall be elected by the EC upon recommendation by other members.

Nomination Deadline

The names of nominated candidates should be submitted to the APSCVIR Secretariat when called by the Executive Board in advance of each ASM.

Question 4

Final Decision for the Award

Accepted Answer

The EC will make the final decision with respect to the elected Honorary Membership at least 3 months before the ASM. The 3 Honorary Memberships will be decided by a majority vote among the EC members. One (1) voting member of the EC will lists their order of priority in accordance to the number of nominees.

Honorary Membership Acknowledgement

Honorary Members will have the same membership privileges as APSCVIR Individual Members except:the right to propose Individual Members for election to the ECthe right to votethe right to hold office in the ECHonorary Members will be excluded from payment of all dues and will have registration fees to the Annual Scientific Meetings of APSCVIR waived. This is not inclusive of any social events not included in the registration. However, they will be invited to conferment ceremony at the Annual Scientific Meeting Gala Dinner for the Honorary Membership.
