Society Overview

The Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR) is a regional society dedicated to advancing cardiovascular and interventional radiology through knowledge exchange, clinical excellence, research, and continuing education across the Asia-Pacific region.

Who We Are?

The Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR) is an international organisation that brings together interventional radiologists from the region, working to improve the level of clinial practice, education and research in the field of interventional radiology in the Asia Pacific Region. The society is a collaborative effort of 16 organisational members.

APSCVIR meets annually to encourage international exchange of knowledge vital to Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology among medical doctors in different territories of the Asia Pacific region.

Objective

Meet regularly to encourage international exchange of knowledge vital to cardiovascular and interventional radiology among radiologists, interventional radiologists and individuals in related fields in different countries of the Asia Pacific region.

Bring together radiologists, interventional radiologists and individuals in related fields to improve the level of clinical practice and research regarding cardiovascular and interventional radiology in the Asia Pacific region.

Support continuing education and training of doctors in each country through appropriate forums or refresher courses to further define the role of cardiovascular and interventional radiology as a subspecialty of medicine in the Asia Pacific region.

Member Territories in Asia Pacific Region

Organisational Membership shall be open to all officially recognised representative bodies for interventional radiologists within their territory in the Asia Pacific region. There shall be only one Organisational Member from each territory in the Asia Pacific region.

The following are the Organisational Members : Australasia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Scientific Meetings

Scientific Meetings will be held regularly in a territory in the Asia Pacific region. The venue for this meeting shall be in the Asia Pacific region, and is to be decided by the EC at least 2 years in advance. The Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Scientific Meeting shall be appointed by the bidding Organisational Member and endorsed by the EC.
